¡Discazo, discazo! Literature lanzaban su primer larga duración "Arab Spring" a principios de año y mi primera impresión era que se habían desinflado un poco ¡Falso!
Un primer track un poco engañoso -que no malo- me hacía presagiar una madurez que llegaba demasiado pronto para ellos, como ese amig@ que siempre jugaba con los mayores y acaba su juventud a los 20 (y un hijo) y lo miras como diciendo, "joder tio... para todo hay un tiempo".
Continúa con la veraniega "Lily" y ya se empiezan a poner las cosas en su sitio ¿Pero el disco no se llamaba "Primavera árabe"? Vale, llámalo estación, llámalo equinoccio... Sol, eso es, y Supergrass saltando por la playa.
Los Literature de "It's Cruel" llegan con el single "Criminal Kids" (ver vídeo). Explosivos, directos, inspiradísimos... 2 minutos y 7 segundos de pogo en los que hasta cabe un solo épico. Pero hay mucho más juego aquí, señores: "Esquire esquire" o "I am right here" son otro par de singles redondos por los que muchos matarían haber firmado.
No hay tregua. 10 canciones que suman poco más de 22 minutos intensos para quemar esos croissants que os metéis últimamente entre pecho espalda. Se puede conseguir en su bandcamp (name your price) o a partir del 14 de abril en formato físico.
Great album, great album guys! Literature released earlier this year their first full length "Arab Spring ". My first impression was that they had deflated a little bit. Wrong! The first track, a bit misleading-not bad-, made me presage a maturity that came too early for them. Just like that friend who always played with the big lads and ended their youth at their 20 (son included) and you look saying "fuck mate... there is time for all.". Wrong, there's still time to jump.

Lily " keeps the record going and things start to be in place again. But wasn't the album called "Arab Spring"? Okay, call it station, call it equinox ... Sun, that it is, and Supergrass jumping on the beach.
"It's Cruel "'s-style Literature come up with the single "Criminal Kids" (watch video above). Explosive, straight, inspired... 2 minutes and 7 seconds pogo-feeling that leads to an epic solo. But there is more here, gentlemen: "Esquire Esquire" or "I am right here" are another pair of likely singles that many bands would kill for.
No truce. 10 songs just over 22 intense minutes, a perfect diet for your recent croissant addiction before it's too late. Grab it on bandcamp or wait until April 10th for physical release.
