La vuelta de los monos me está provocando una especie de conflicto interno: si tuviera que elegir entre los últimos trabajos o los primeros, siempre me quedaría con los primeros, o sea los primeros Arctic Monkeys. Pero aunque sus canciones no suenen tan perfectas como antes, tienen algo que las hace crecer con las escuchas como hizo "Crying Lightning" en su disco anterior "Humbug" o esta "Don't sit down cause I've moved your chair", adelanto de su próximo álbum.
La noticia triste de la semana es que Spotify anunció hace unos días que limitará su servicio gratuito. Esto se debe a las negociaciones que está manteniendo con las discográficas norteamericanas para establecer el servicio en EEUU, lo cuál me recordó al documental Rip:The Remix Manifesto (o para los más vagos aquí tenéis el trailer) que trata sobre los derechos de autor y la influencia de las grandes compañías y el sistema norteamericano.
Por cierto acabo de encontrar también un documental de RTVE sobre copyright que habrá que echarle un vistazo!
The return of the Monkeys' is provoking an inner conflict in me: if I had to choose between the new works and the first ones, I would always go for the first ones, I mean the early Arctic Monkeys. But although their songs don't sound so perfect anymore, there's still something that makes some of their new songs grow on me like "Crying Lightning" in their previous album "Humbug" or the brand-new "Don't sit down cause I've moved your chair".
Sad news are that Spotify announced few days ago that their free service will be unlimited in few months. This is due to their negotiation with American record labels... that kind of reminded me to Rip:The Remix Manifesto (or if you're too lazy take a look at the trailer) that dealt with copyright issues and the influence of big companies and the North-American system.
