Northie - Me Gusta

Ayer estuve viendo a Aeroplane en Lolita y la verdad que fue un set reconfortante. Quizá porque mis expectativas eran bajas: los últimos mixes mensuales en solitario de Vito han perdido parte de la magia de antaño (válgase el juego de palabras)... y la ausencia de Luca (The Magician) me hacían temer lo peor.
Aún así me sorprendió la frialdad inicial de una sala medio vacía, que conforme avanzaba la noche llegó a abarrotarse y bailar (y saltar) desde los remixes a Friendly Fires, Sebastian Tellier o The Human League, pasando por Madonna, el "Yeah" de Boys Noize (si, Boys noize!), hasta el reconocimiento a los remixes que hicieron The Krays (inmensos) en "Superstar" o el más reciente de "My Enemy" de Rex The Dog. Incluso bailamos salsa con Northie (que podéis escuchar a partir del 6:40 en la sesión que encontraréis al final del post) y disfrutamos uno de mis temas preferidos de sus últimos sets.
Por si fuera poco una recta final resucitando aquel remix épico de Flight Facilities a James Curd y acabar con una emocionante "We can't fly". El momento de la noche, sin embargo, fue escuchar de manos de Vito el remix de The Magician que hizo a Lykke Li. ♥

Yesterday I was watching Aeroplane in Lolita (Razzmatazz) and it actually was a recomforting set. Maybe my expectatives were a bit too low: the latest monthly mixes have somehow lost that magic (intended pun)... and Luca's (The Magician) absence made me expect the worst.
Still I got surprised at the beginning with a cold, half-empty room that was filled finally with an audience dancing (and jumping) from the remixes for Friendly Fires, Sebastian Tellier or The Human League, via Madonna, Boys Noize's "Yeah" (yeah, Boys noize!) or the recognition to The Krays with "Superstar" or Rex The Dog for the recent remix for "My Enemy". We also danced to salsa with Northie (you can listen to it from 6:40 in the session above) and enjoyed one of my favourite tunes of his latest sets.
If it wasn't enough with that, a grand finale that included that epic remix by Fight Facilities to James Curd and a moving "We can't fly". Although the moment of the night was listening Vito playing The Magician's remix for Lykke Li. ♥
