Kids of 88 + Strange Talk (Kitsune Maison Compilation 10)

We've traveled this week to Japan, got some waves and now it's time to sit on the ground and listen to some tunes. Let's start from the end, and at the bottom we always find New Zealand. If you're a newzealander, picture Jemaine or Bret saying that. Otherwise, just think about the theory of antipodes... Kids of 88 come from Aucland and have a pretty decent debut album, including their hit-song "My House" or "Ribbons of Light" that kind of reminded me of, oh, long time no see! The Black Ghosts.

Kitsuné is releasing their new Maison compilation and it's going to be the 10th already. Truth is the latest issues have been a bit disappointing if we compare with the early Kitsune works- by the way this one is in some commercial the song for the new 212 VIP Carolina Herrera commercial-. Their teaser video starts with Strange Talk, another cool Australian band from Melbourne doing what they know to do best: danceable synth-pop a la Kitsuné. You can hear hooks from Two Door Cinema Club, Delphic or Empire of The Sun here. By the way, this video is framed in Stockholm:
