¿Hit o no? De la misma manera que el mes pasado publicaba por aquí el último vídeo de Miike Snow sin saber realmente si era o no hit, ahora le toca el turno a una contemporánea de los suecos: Santigold.
"Disparate youth", su último single, se balancea entre el dubstep, los ramalazos post-punk y unos sintentizadores que se enganchan rápido. Todo junto creando un batiburrillo que te recuerda a todo y a nada en concreto, no sé si me explico. Ahí es donde me crea la duda si realmente es "Disparate Youth" tan buena como la pintan.
La originalidad, muchas veces sobrevalorada, aquí me pesa, por ahora, demasiado. Y soy de los que creo que simplemente es un factor más... Amo muchas cosas que poco tienen de original pero por razones que se me escapan unas pasan el filtro y otras, no. Después de unos días escuchándola necesito tiempo todavía para esta:

All together creating a blend that reminds you all and nothing in particular, I don't know if you know what I mean.... There's where I begin being a bit skeptical on the praise on Santigold's "Disparate Youth".
The originality, often overrated, here is a heavy burden for me. And I am one of those who think it's just another factor, not the main one... I love many things that lack originality but for reasons that escape my reasoning some got me, some not. After a few days listening to this I still need time to decide.
